“When my dryer was first installed, the man that did the work did not get the
hole on the outside wall lined up correctly with the vent on my dryer and we
had to connect a flex hose which had to be stretched in order to reach my
dryer vent. Over the years the flex hose had begin to get holes in it and
clogged up with lint and did not work properly. We noticed that the lint had
begin to build up behind my dryer and we were afraid it would cause a fire.
My husband tried keeping it cleaned as best he could, but with it being out
of shape, he could not get it cleaned properly.

I saw an ad for the MagVent dryer vent just a few weeks ago on the computer
and showed it to my husband. We decided to order it and try to install it
ourselves. After reading the instructions, my husband measured and drilled a
new hole on the outside wall  and as you can see from the pictures we were
able to get it lined up perfectly. I am very happy about the way it goes
straight to the outside. I wish I would have been able to get this wonderful
product years ago. Thank you.”

“My laundry closet has been a problem ever since we owned our home. The builder put it right smack-dab in the middle of the house on the second floor, which is very convenient, but totally unpractical and problematic from a design standpoint.

1) The vent runs through the attic and almost 30 feet from the dryer to the outside. It constantly clogs and in cool weather the ducting fills with condensation.

2) There is “Zero” space in the closet when the washer and dryer are in place, so there is no human way possible to connect the dryer to the vent!

Because of this, many repairmen have scratched their heads in bewilderment. One man’s solution was to simply cut a whole in the drywall, remove the flex duct completely, and just push the dryer up to the wall and let it vent up the wall cavity! (Talk about a fire hazard). Because of this the dryer has had to set out from the wall in the hallway, so you cannot close the closet doors:

Again, There was no space to connect the flexible vent duct and get out of the closet without it kinking and bending the flex-duct and restricting the air flow when you try to push it back in the closet:

When I saw your GIF on Facebook for the “MagVent” I thought, “This is a genius idea!” and a perfect solution to this tiny laundry closet dilemma. I ordered the MagVent and installed it:

Voilà! Just as advertised, I simply pushed the dryer to the wall and the MagVent coupled to the wall vent.

The dryer now sets the same distance from the wall as the washer and I can now close the closet doors when not in use!

MagVent was a perfect solution to a really bad architectural design. Well worth the price!

“We moved into our condo and bought a stacked washer and dryer, but when we hooked up the dryer vent hose we had a problem. We had no room on either side of the machine to reach back behind the washer and dryer. Because we had to slide the machine straight back in a tight area, we had to connect a long dryer duct, then step out from behind and slide it in. Since we couldn't hold the venting up while we slid the machine back the long duct bent and crimped up. It was taking a load of laundry about 2 hours to dry!

I searched online for a better solution and found MagVent! We ordered an MV-90 and were able to install it with a few duct extensions from the local hardware store. Now are clothes dry quickly and efficiently. Plus we feel safer knowing that the vent isn't clogging with dangerously flammable lint. You can see from our photos that our washer/dryer is pushed snugly back and our duct is not crimped!”

“Hello! My name is Steve and I just received my MagVent Dryer Vent today. I purchased the MV-180 model as I thought it was a pretty straight shot from my dryer to the vent hole. There is about a 2-3 inch difference in height, but the included hose piece angled enough to make the connection. There seemed to be a slight gap in connection, but that was alleviated with some adjustment. The piece that clips to the wall mount had a little trouble staying gripped to the mount at first. As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be any issues. I am happy with the short hose and increased air flow as opposed to the 6 foot hose I had before, which was needed due to the tight quarters when trying to move the dryer in and out. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and recommend MagVent. I attached some pictures of the installation process. Thanks!”

“The MagVent is an amazing product!  I had a problem cutting my vent pipe from the wall so I inserted the receiving magnet into the vent pipe and clamped it and then finished the install.  You can see how badly we were leaking from all the lint visible in the before picture. Very satisfied.  If I find a way later to successfully cut the heavy vent pipe back I will do the receiving magnet flush with the wall. Thank You.”

“This has increased the airflow and decreased the drying time for our laundry.  The air flow is less restricted than a flex duct curved 90 degrees.  We can also push the dryer closer to the wall creating a little more room in our laundry room.  The last picture shows how close to the wall we have it pushed back. 

When I saw this I knew we had to have it.  The magnetic reconnect is ingenious.

“The MagVent is a unique DIY solution for venting a dryer in a tight area. Prior to the MagVent, a longer piece of flexible vent duct had to be used with my dryer. This piece of vent duct would unfortunately become crushed when the dryer was pushed pack into a small washer and dryer closet. In addition, it would require someone to climb over the dryer and manually attach the duct to the line in the wall. The MagVent improved this situation significantly because now the dryer has a straight path to the wall. In addition, the dryer can be pulled out much easier for cleaning and nobody has to climb behind the dryer to attach the duct to the wall anymore.”

“To make some improvements to our backyard so that our dryer didn't vent right onto the outdoor patio, we wanted to move our dryer vent discharge from the back of the house to the side of the house. The old route had an old inefficient outdoor dryer vent hood with non-functioning flapper on the back of the house, and due to the typical connection and access issues had to use the flimsy snaking foil duct to connect the dryer inside the house and push it back into place.

Luckily our laundry room is in the corner of the house. So the new installation includes a much more effective outdoor dryer vent closure out the less visible side of the house, and is a much shorter and more efficient indoor duct routing with less bends that will hopefully lead to better energy savings, less risk, faster drying, and can be easily moved as needed when we need to get a new dryer. The MagVent MV-90 was the final piece that made connecting the dryer and pushing back into place much easier. I was able to do everything myself, and installation of the MagVent was smooth and easy, and gets my recommendation.”

“Our washer & dryer are in a closet in a half bath, while I am grateful it is on the main floor of the house it is a tight spot. We were hoping that the washer and dryer would survive another year till we are able to tile the floor underneath it, my thought being, out with the old, put in new floor and have a new set delivered and hooked up. Well, a few weeks ago the washer stopped spinning, while the dryer worked, a new set was purchased. The washer came on the first delivery, the old dryer had to come out to remove the old washer and install new washer, yea! New washer! I said please be sure the dryer vent is hooked up when you push it hold dryer back in, they said it was, it was not, so for the next week I had steam & condensation running down the bathroom mirror anytime I dried a load of clothes.....UGH..... then the new dryer came, the delivery guys said the vents were not going to line up and there was nothing they could do about it......so I went to the hardware store and bought new flex pipe, clamps and a new 90 pipe.....I pulled the new dryer out and assessed the situation..... I sat there on the floor for awhile, frankly kinda pissed off at my predicament, and remembered seeing an ad on Facebook for MagVent,
I googled it, read the reviews, and ordered it, packed up all the stuff I got from the hardware store and returned it!!! I am 52, female, and quite handy with tools,, my husband is 71 and had just had an injection in his back and needs a new knee. I knew this project was up to me to fix. After watching the installation video, I was confident I could do it. The package arrived and I headed out to the garage too get the drill and tools I would need, he had a buddy with him in the garage, they both asked "whatcha doing?"..... I said, "you'll see"....I hooked that vent up like a pro, slid the dryer in and it worked like a dream! I returned the tools to the garage and told them what I had done, then I had to show them the online video so they could see how cool of a system it is! “My washer and dryer are in a very tight closet and the walls are solid concrete. I needed to get the units as close to the back wall as possible so I could close the closet door. But it’s a blind connection so I needed too much vent hose to connect before pushing them back into place. It wouldn’t compress enough to allow the stacked machines to go back far enough. Then I found MagVent!

I am now able to slide the stacked machines into place without any concern of having a solid connection with the exhaust vent. Everything lines up perfectly and snaps into place automatically. MagVent works perfectly for this unique situation but would have also worked great in every house I have ever lived in. I move often and will be using MagVents in all my future projects.
